| Detail: | "Following our chats recently and our and our neighbours increasing frustration at the situation. We have submitted a formal request to Cheshire East Highways. The reference number is as below. 3426642 We have explained that the drain was broken by their engineers during their engineering works that allowed the water to flow through to the fields to the south and that this was confirmed by their own engineer. That these pipes were damaged. This has stopped the flow of water as it was and also means that the road now drains to our field. That this has caused standing water on our field in areas that have not been flooded before and caused an increased water table for over 18 months that is still refusing to drain. This has caused problems for many neighbours sewage systems resulting in over £30,000 being spent on new septic tanks and soakaways. Also resulting in overflow of effluent on to our land from multiple locations. I have requested that the drain underneath the road is reinstated as a matter if urgency. " |
