Detail: In heavy rainfall, water runs off Dagfields car park and road drains are unable to take the flow leading to serious flooding across the road 100m east of entrance.
Action to be taken or taken: Update 28/01/2019: issue discussed at PC meeting and I Bennion is planning to divert run-off to a catchment pond for slow release. Update 24/02/2019: no change but gulleys may have been cleaned and work in progress further along drainage route at Oat Eddish Farm entrance. Update 18/05/2019: work appears to be complete but gulleys have not been cleared so remains on list. Update 13/11/2019: work complete no recent flooding. Update 27/09/2020: gullies now blocked and flooding recurring, requires report. Reported again to CEC. Update: 05/10/2020: reported again by Janet Clowes under ref 3406679. Update 24/01/2021: no change: issue persists, road now becoming damaged. Update 28/03/2021: no change. Update 14/05/2021: no change but work planned. Update 24/07/2021: no change. Update 27/09/2021: recent work appears to be effective. Item is closed for the time being.

All roads and footways on the highway network are regularly inspected as part of our scheduled safety inspection regime.The Gully/Drainage at CREWE ROAD, CREWE has been assessed and will be considered for inclusion in an appropriate future programme. At this stage, I am unable to give you any indication on timescale. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the condition of this location via the scheduled inspection regime, and keep it in a safe condition for all highway users. Responde to report of 04/10/2020 under 3406059: The Council’s gully care regime is based around data gathered, over the preceding three years, from the Authority’s asset management system, details of which can be found at Your enquiry has now been assessed and work will be programmed in due course. The timescale for this work is dependent upon factors such as the prevailing weather conditions and the severity of the issue when considered against other competing priorities. Accordingly, all work is ranked before it is scheduled and allocated a date for completion. You will be contacted again as soon as the work has been allocated.
