| Title: | Road verge damage |
| Road: | 9H => Bridgemere Lane |
| Location & NGR: | Various |
| Detail: | A new access hardcore laid road has just been constructed to tend Helers fields which is now rented out to Thomassons of Worleston who has now upwards of 3000 acres of maize to harvest imminently. The access onto Bridgemere Lane is very tight with zero visibility splays either left or right. I parked my car on the verge to protect it whilst the construction HGVs and Tractor units where unloading their hardcore. I was asked to move it as the HGVs could not get in or out without going over the verge. The farm tractor and trailer unit just managed to drive in and out staying on the road. The verge damage here has only recently been badly damaged since the tenant farmer has taken over. I acquired 5 roadside cones previously discarded in hedgerows locally and placed them just off the verge in the hope of keeping the farm tractor and trailer units on the road and driving safer when entering and exiting Bridgemere Lane. |
